Our Story

In 2015 and 2016, there was an exceptionally high number of Black people losing their lives at the hands of people who were members of systems put in place to serve and protect us. After crying, protesting, and demanding justice for all of the senseless violence against our people things were getting tenser, and political leaders were failing to address the concerns in an adequate way. Existing community organizations had great ideas, but a lack of strong organizing harmed the message and allowed opposition groups to change the narrative. The JustUs Tribe was created to focus on JustUs during a time where Justice has not been a priority for its citizens.
